  Came here two days in a row. Found this yummy spot by chance when looking for a place to eat when traveling through town (less than 5 minutes from 495). Had lunch on the trip south and then dinner on the try by Lowell heading north the next day.
  
  Wonton soup, spicy beef noodle soup, steamed pork buns, and other snacks (egg rolls, summer rolls) and goodies (bubble tea and homemade Vietnamese desserts) were also all delicious.... simply perfect!

  This is my first review on Yelp but I enjoyed this place so much I had to write a review.
  
  I got the banh mi nem nuong and it was delicious! The bread was flaky and crunchy on the outside yet soft in the inside. The nem nuong was so flavorful. I was visiting for work from California (I immediately compared it to Westminster/Garden Grove and Oakland/San Jose) and was skeptical of Vietnamese food in Massachusetts. This place is the real deal!
  
  On top of the food being amazing, the lady I spoke with (I believe was the owner) was extremely friendly! She made the visit even more pleasant.
  
  I would recommend this place to anyone.

  We went blueberry picking at Parlee Farm in Tyngsboro and decided to Yelp nearby Asian restaurants and came across this Saigon Vietnamese House. Since it was around brunch time, we didn't want to dine at an actual restaurant. We decided to go for a to go Vietnamese sub shop instead. Saigon Sandwich House did not disappoint.
  
  The place was a bit tricky I would imagine to locate without a GPS since it was tucked away behind a brick building and next to a seafood market. There was a plenty of parking when we got there. The store was bright with large windows and had cafe style seating and booth seatings as well. You ordered at the front and waited for your food to be prepared in the back such as subs and special noodles dishes. There were a variety of pre-made items to select from. Much of the pre-made items that we purchased were fresh batches literally made not too long ago and still steaming.
  
  The Vietnamese cold cut sub (banh mi thit nguoi) rivals that of the ones I have had in Dorchester. There is plenty of vegetables in the baguette. You get a good amount of pickled daikon and carrot, cilantro, onion, and sliced jalapeños for an added kick. There is just enough pate and butter to each bite. The banh mi xui mai was good but I am used to the pork meatballs being so soft and juicy that you can spread it like butter on the baguette and I am used to it being soaked in a tomatoes sauce. The ones at Saigon Sandwich House has a nice flavor but we're not soft and juicy. I am an unfair critic since I am a boss cook myself. Lol.
  
  We also ordered two order of rice rolls (banh cuon) filled with wood ear mushrooms and ground pork. This was some of the best that I have had for a sub shop. The portion maybe be small but the rice rolls are cooked to perfection. They are not thick and perfectly cooked through. You don't get all the toppings such as blanched bean sprout and Thai basil but that's okay. The fried shallot and thin sliced of pork patty is enough.
  
  We also tried the banh beo. Husband said it was too thick. I can tell there was not enough dried shrimp toppings and scallion oil so I passed on trying.
  
  We also tried the grilled pork sausage spring rolls and the shrimp and pork spring rolls. Both were very good with traditional dipping sauces. Both were very meaty unlike a lot of Vietnamese restaurants where you would get mostly rice noodles and shredded  iceberg lettuce. Here you get a good amount of meats and mints. I think they were worth the price at almost two dollars per roll. Also got two fried egg-rolls for my son at one dollar a piece. How convenient. Also not too oily like some places and was okay in flavor and filling.
  
  We ordered from the special menu the bun bo hue and bo kho. The bun bo hue broth I thought was good. It's definitely not the best I have had but better than many. For a sub shop, it's not bad at all. I think some extra chili oil paste and fermented shrimp paste would make it perfect. The bo kho, Vietnamese beef stew, was served with a baguette. You break the baguette and dip the pieces into the broth. The broth had chunks of beef shank, carrots, and thinly sliced onion. I thought the flavors were pretty good. Again, not the best I have tried, but better than many. I would order this again.
  
  Overall, bright and clean. The lady who helped us with our order had a beautiful smile and was super friendly. I would definitely come back if I was ever in the area again. See my pictures.

  I love the banh mi at this place, it's delicious and the price is average. The lady at the front desk was extremely kind and friendly. However today I came back for an avocado shake. I was really craving a avocado shake with boba. I watched the male employee make the drink from my seat, he clearly put water into my shake. He added only a drip of half and half that was left over from the carton. I saw him pull out a completely new carton of milk to pour into my friends drink, yet he didn't put anymore in mine. My drink came out disappointing. It tasted like blended down avocado water... I think it's interesting the things people do when they think you can't see them. Well I saw, and I don't like confrontation, so I just took the drink and left. Very disappointed, there should not be any water in avocado shakes, therefore I give this place 3 stars.

  What a great find! Some seriously delicious Vietnamese street food fare. I went in for a banh mi and came out with 70 dollars worth of food and take away. That's how good it was! No jokes
  
  The Banh mi was all kinds of perfect I tried both the combination cold cut and the grilled pork. Personally I prefer the cold cuts #1. It's like texture wonderland with that deliciously toasted baguette and the rich savory pate and different kinds of Vietnamese cold cuts, also accompanied by sweet and sour pickled vegetables, fresh cilantro and some Jalepenos to cut the richness. It's simply perfection in a bit of food.
  
  I also tried both noodle dishes 4/5. Both delicious but could use slight improvements. The bon bo hue had good flavor with shrimp paste/sate/lemongrass, but I would have preferred to have extra meats like pork blood and tripe in the dish also.
  
  I also got a couple of banana leave packaged Vietnamese sausages so I can make my own sandwich or for my next batch of bon bo hue at home.
  
  The fermented black rice thing was also very unique, the only thing I can compare to is the Chinese fermented rice dessert jiu niang, which is usually eaten with glutinous rice balls with various filling.
  
  The appetizers made with rice flour had incredible textures and flavours
  
  I also got a sugar cane drink as per the owners recommendation! So refreshing on warm spring day!
  
  Man that was a 70 dollars well spent and I think most items are priced very well for the area. Too bad this is so far away from Cambridge or else I would be here everyday eating that bahn mi.
